The University of Illinois at Chicago seeks a full-time media relations professionals in the Office of Public Affairs to publicize the patient care, clinical services, and community service programs in the University of Illinois Hospital & Health Sciences System, as well as research and medical education in the UIC College of Medicine, the nation’s largest medical school. The position includes media relations as well as strategic communications.
A bachelor’s degree and at least five years’ experience in journalism or public relations is required. Preferred candidates will have experience covering health care in an academic medical center, a strong track record of placements in major general and specialized media, and experience with film or television crews. This is a full-time, 12-month Academic Professional position.
